This is my forecast for the wing production of the Comac C929... regarding the composite skins and wing box (which has not been publicly disclosed by China).
In the past, the metallic wings of the C919 were entirely manufactured in Xi'an, before being transported to the C919 final assembly plant in Pudong.
For the C929 wings, the C929 project has a dedicated wing assembly workshop at the C929 base in Pudong, Shanghai, and it has just issued a tender for outer wing assembly tooling. But where will the composite wing skins be produced?
Here is the final clue... Hangzhou Aimei Aviation Manufacturing Equipment Co., Ltd.... their large gantry automatic fiber placement machine is China's first domestically produced fiber placement machine certified by the civil aircraft airworthiness system, with the certification completed in January 2025.
Then in April 2025, they won a contract from Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for 5 automatic tape laying machines (2 flatbed machines, 2 gantry machines, and 1 other ATL machine).
This will therefore represent a major breakthrough for China's commercial aircraft industry, which will no longer need to rely on Western ATL aviation equipment!

David, here are a few additional points about publicly disclosed information in China that may be helpful to you.
You mentioned the dedicated C929 wing assembly workshop at Shanghai Aircraft's Pudong site. The construction documents also mark a separate C929 wing component manufacturing plant, distinct from the wing assembly workshop.
In April 2024, Hunan Feiyu — a subsidiary of Hunan Aerospace Huanyu — secured a turnkey contract in the C929 composite mould frame tender from Shanghai Aircraft. The company later disclosed that it had completed the C929 wing skin moulds.
The tender notice for the Aimei machines you referenced also explicitly lists the project implementation location as Shanghai, China.
