Carbon Fiber Needled Felt / Carbon Fiber Mat
Our carbon fiber needled felt (carbon web mat) is produced by needle-punching chopped carbon fiber. Fibers are randomly oriented in all directions for isotropic performance. It features uniform porosity, great resin absorption, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. We support customized areal weight, thickness and roll size for composite reinforcement and carbon-carbon preform.
Carbon fiber needled felt, also known as carbon fiber web mat, is a high-performance nonwoven reinforcement material manufactured by our carbon fiber needle punching production line. Chopped carbon filaments are dispersed randomly and interlocked by needle punching without woven structure. Unlike UD unidirectional carbon fabric that concentrates strength in one direction, this carbon felt delivers uniform, isotropic performance across all directions. It is widely used as the base preform for carbon-carbon composites and multi-layer composite lamination. It combines high porosity, stable structure, outstanding electrical conductivity and excellent chemical inertness.
